2.1- Contributing in a Technical Capacity to the Creation of a Video Project
During the creation of the film, I only filmed in two different locations. The first location was in one of the classrooms in the VPA Building of Bede College (the first half of the film) and the other location was in Barnes Park (the last half of the film). The equipment that I used for this was my iPhone XS (as the camera), a white morphsuit mask and a small black cloak. I had to take multiple takes whilst shooting in the park since there was other people walking around in the background and there was sometimes sounds that I didn't want to be in the shot.
3.1 - Apply Video Post-Production Techniques to the Creation of a Video Product
During the editing of my film, I wanted to make the chase scene as intense as possible so I cut each clip down so that there was a lot of quick transitions between each shot. I also used a shot that was a close up of the protagonist whilst he was running during the chase scene to make in more dramatic and intense. I wanted the chase scene to calm down before anything happened to the protagonist so I could capture the 'calm before the storm' type feeling just before the end which ends on a cliffhanger.
3.1- My Final Film
4.1 Reviewing the Strengths and Weaknesses of my Production Work
1. My final product was almost exactly how my initial ideas of the project were. The reason why it is not exactly how I wanted it is because one of the final shots were corrupted whilst I was editing so I couldn't include it. However I made it work without the shot.
2. The pre-production helped me out whilst shooting because it saved me a lot of time. The location scouting that I did helped my the most since I found exactly where I wanted each shot to be.
3. I feel like my final product was appropriate to the intended horror genre and the target audience for the horror genre since it included aspects of the horror genre.
4. My contributions to the creation of my film was directing the film, doing all of the pre-production and all of the post-production/editing.
5. My time management was good since I was able to film all of my scenes in one day and then also edit all of it the next day.
6. I have learned that pre-production really helps towards the creation of a film.
7. I feel like my filming went well since I was able to get all of the shots that I wanted in a suitable amount of time however I feel like I could improve on pre-production.
