Teamwork Skills Tyneside Cinema Film Making Course

1. - Be able to contribute to the setting of team and individual goals.

1.1. Identify the team’s goals

The goal that our team had to achieve was to create a short movie trailer for a 60s gangster movie (the genre 'noir'). Then after we had shot and edited the footage we all showed our trailer to the other groups.

1.2 Describe the process involved in planning and deciding the team’s goals

The aim of the project was to create a film trailer for a made up movie and we planned the trailer by discussing how we would do each scene and what props to use for each scene.

2 .-Understand own and other responsibility in achieving the team goals.

2.1 Organise own activities effectively within the agreed goals of the team

My role during the creation of the trailer was assistant director and was the main director during the last two scenes. We organised our activities by shooting all of the footage in order. We did that so it would have been easier to edit since all of the clips were in order.
The equipment that we used was a tripod, camera, boom mic, and the editing software.

2.2. Provide information detailing own and other team members’ responsibilities
Matthew, Ofentse and I - Directors
Layton - Cameraman
Jamie - Sound
Karim, Daniel & Sam - Actors
James - Actor

4. - Be able to review team activities.
4.1. Feedback on own actions in relation to the overall team activities
I feel like my own actions in relation to the team activities were productive since the team reached our goal of creating the trailer. However directing was a little difficult since there was no pre-production for the trailer.

4.2. Describe different team members’ contributions
The actors contributions were very good since they knew their lines and were confident in front of camera. The cameraman and sound people did a good job however in between each scene there was a little bit of confusion. And as for the other directors, I feel like they also did a good job.
